Our story
A Florida agency founded on integrity
Sun, Surf & Sand Insurance Services was founded in 2021 to serve the insurance needs of Florida's growing Emerald Coast communities. Owner Scott Zambarano, who also owns an insurance agency in Rhode Island, recognized the rapid growth of Walton County and saw an opportunity to bring an integrity-first approach to local insurance service.
Scott brings 12 years of insurance industry experience, including approximately a decade of working with Florida insurance clients. That background informs how the agency helps homeowners, property investors, families and business owners navigate their coverage choices.
Today, our Miramar Beach team combines local attention with access to approximately 100 insurance carriers, giving clients the opportunity to compare options rather than rely on a single provider.

Scott's path into insurance began after a career-ending injury forced him to retire from the Providence Police Department. He entered the insurance industry, worked alongside the colleague who is now his business partner, and helped grow their business together.
His experience serving clients in Rhode Island and Florida helped shape the values behind Sun, Surf & Sand Insurance Services: listen carefully, explain coverage clearly, and treat people with integrity.
Scott and his team emphasize thoughtful recommendations, responsive service and helping clients evaluate appropriate coverage—not simply selecting the lowest premium.
